The Canyons is a low budget film and it is very obvious. However, if you can get past that point the movie is good and will leave you feeling like you need to shower off all of the Hollywood depravity you just watched. In typical Ellis fashion (American Psycho, Less Than Zero, Rules of Attraction) the characters are so warped you can't tear your eyes away from their destructive behavior.
